Manchester United could break a world transfer record

– Manchester United is ready to pay the highest transfer sum in football history for Neymar
– According to The Sun Red Devils have been in secret talks to try to buy Brazilian superstar Neymar
The source reports that “a top Barcelona source” has told that Manchester has made a discreet approach to the La Liga champions.

The executive vice-chairman of Manchester United Ed Woodward has been to Barca three times in the last two months an reporteddly has made an audacious bid for Neymar.

“The Barca source” told Sun: “United are one of the biggest clubs in the world so it is right they should be chasing a player who has the potential to be the best player on the planet.”
Goal reports that the Brazilian is currently being probed by a Spanish court over charges of alleged corruption and fraud and Neymar Snr. told the judge on Tuesday that an unnamed club had made a £144.4 million bid for his son.

Neymar’s current contract is expiring in 2018.
A £144.4 million  move would smash the current world record fee that took Gareth Bale to Real Madrid in 2013 at €100 million.
This sort of offer will force players to once again favour Manchester United who have lost out on some major transfers since Fir Alex Ferguson left.
