NIGERIAN rapper, singer and songwriter Reminisce — real name Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru — will be in Kenya next week.
The Fela Daddy hit maker will be in the country for the first time from March 18-20, during which he will do exclusive media tours.
Reminisce is famously known for his highly-acclaimed 2012 debut album titled Book Of Rap Stories, a 13-track album that had among other hits, his breakout commercial single Kako Bii Chicken.
He released his second album called Alaga Ibile in November 2013. The album featured acts like Wizkid, Naeto C, Davido, Olamide and Sossick. It was an instant breakthrough album, with hit singles like Eleniyan, Fela Daddy Fantasi and 3rd World Thug.
Last year, the 35-year-old artiste released his third album, Baba Hafusa, which propelled him to become the only hip hop artiste in Africa so far to have an album debut on Billboard Charts World Music category at number 12.
The album sold over 500,000 copies in Nigeria in two weeks of its release and claimed the number one spot in iTunes for more than a week. It's arguably one of the most successful hip hop albums in the Nigerian music history.
Reminisce hails from Ogun State and performs in both English and his native language, Yoruba.
