Nigerians have reacted characteristically to the ouster of the Super Eagles from the 2017 Africa cup of nations billed to hold in Gabon.
The coach Samson Siasia-led side were beaten by a lone strike at Alexandria in spite of their lengthy spells of dominating possession and proper coordination.
The Eagles had been condemned to win the match after Friday, March 25 draw against the Pharaohs at the Ahmadu Bello stadium, Kaduna, but their high hopes were dashed by the resilient north Africans who will now qualify for the bi-annual tournament at the expense of their west African counterparts.

But, Nigerians who stayed up to watch the match on Tuesday evening, lashed out at former coach, Sunday Oliseh for destroying the team beyond repairs before his shocking resignation just weeks before the all important double-header.
In a series of tweets, Nigerians believe the hiring of the former coach was a mistake on the part of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
