How to Look your Best in Every Photo

In today’s world of social media, those super unflattering shots we used to hide in our desk drawers are now being broadcast online in epic proportions for all to see. Looking awesome in photos can definitely be a tough thing to master, but we promise there’s hope. Get ready to say cheese!!!

Contour to slim facial features – We all know that contouring is the not-so-secret makeup trick most camera lovers can thank for their impeccable photos — and there’s good reason for that. Contouring helps thin out your face as well as warm up skin tone.
Perfect your pose- This sounds a bit technical but I assure like with every other thing, practice makes perfect. The perfect pose elongates the body and brings it to life in a photo.
Make use of perfect lighting- if the mantra for business is location, location, location, then that of photography is lighting, lighting, and lighting. To get beautiful lighting every time, be sure you’re facing the light source straight on, not from the side. It should shine directly on you to clean out the face. For selfies, a window, lamp, or doorway can also work as great light sources; just face in the direction of the light, and snap.
Know what looks good on you- When it comes to our bodies, self-awareness is king: Knowing what looks best on you, and wearing shapes and colors that complement your body and skin type, will go a long way on camera.
Choose your undergarments carefully- make sure you wear the right undergarments. In pictures, what you wear underneath is just as important as the actual piece you are wearing.
Think positive- Stare directly into the lens and say to yourself, I am beautiful and happy. It sounds silly but trust me, your eyes will light up when you say positive things to yourself. If you say negative things like, “I hate taking photos, ‘it will show!
