Barely two weeks after the tragic collapse of a building under construction at Lekki Gardens in Lagos that left 34 persons dead, another building collapsed on Saturday morning in the Mile 12 area of Lagos.
The collapse of the building located on Aliu Close in Mile 12 within the Kosofe local government area of the state reportedly left at least one person dead.
Eyewitnesses who put up the details of the building collapse on Twitter indicate that officials of the state emergency services are on ground for rescue efforts and keep the situation under control. Men of the Lagos state fire service are also said to be at the scene of the collapse.
