The beef between Enyeama and Oliseh dates back to when Oliseh was the coach of Nigeria’s senior national team.
As a result of a clash between them, Enyeama was stripped of his captaincy and shortly after this, Enyeama resigned from the national team.
Now it seems the tension between both parties has been reignited with Oliseh’s recent exposé where he revealed how things turned sour between the former Super Eagles goalie and him.
Oliseh, in a post published on his website, disclosed that his first official act as coach of the Super Eagles was to meet with Enyeama in Lille, France where he plays.
The former player turned soccer pundit said that things were normal until Enyeama lost his mum just before 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers away at Tanzania.
Despite appeals to honour the game invitation before going ahead with planning his late mother’s funeral, Enyeama refused and this was what led to the bad bloodaccording to Oliseh.
“I was shocked as we had an agreement, we needed his experience, leadership and I was aware he was yet to miss a training session for his club side talk less of a league game,”Oliseh wrote.
The pair would later argue at a Super Eagles camp in Belgium before Enyeama resigned from the Super Eagles.
An unhappy Enyeama took to Twitter to slam Sunday Oliseh for his piece on his website.
“Please senior man, I will so much appreciate if you stop talking about me and face your life. please please please,” Enyeama appealed.
“All that glitters is not gold @SundayOOliseh stop mentioning me in your post.i don’t want to get dirty.we all can.
“Move on with your life please.sort out your issues with the NFF.please STOP mentioning me in your post.pretend that we never met.”
