Louis van Gaal blasts speculation around his future and Jose Mourinho rumours - "It's an absolute scandal"

Louis van Gaal has branded the personal abuse and constant speculation about his job as “an absolute
scandal.”
The Manchester United manager is angered by the clamour for Jose Mourinho to replace him and let rip when asked about the pressure he and his players are enduring.
Van Gaal said: “Every day I am preventing the players from being under pressure. Because every arrow is shot at me, not one at the players.
“It is all aimed at me. In a bizarre way this situation with me has an advantage for the players. I can see that they are not being criticized. Only me.’’
The Mourinho connection riles him. The duo are old friends yet Van Gaal refuses to telephone the former Chelsea boss to nail the rumour that he’s angling for the Old Trafford job.

Van Gaal went on: “He has said things a number of times with a lot of words. But he does not have to tell me anything. I find the whole thing ridiculous!
“No, I don’t want United to do something either. I don’t even want them to react to things which I read in the media or which are being created. We, the club and I, are not going to help the media right now by denying things.
“I think what is happening is an absolute scandal!”
Van Gaal vented his emotions to Dutch TV channel RTL7 after United’s 5-1 win over Midtjylland on Thursday night.
And he admitted that in the early moments of the Europa League tie he feared he was going to be plunged into a new crisis.

“Yes, it all went against us,” he said. “It started with Martial dropping out of the team just before the match. Another injury.
“Then I saw how the match developed, with us creating so many chances, not scoring goals again and the very first time they crossed the half-way line they scored. Then I started to think to myself, how can this continue?
“I have to say the youngsters did a fantastic job. There was so much passion in the team. Despite us missing chances, despite conceding a goal, despite missing a penalty, we just carried on. In the end I saw a fantastic result with each goal even more beautiful than the other.’’
