Burna Boy about to Make First UK Appearance After 15-Year Ban Is Finally lifted

Controversial Nigerian dancehall star, BurnaBoy, who was previously banned from entering the United Kingdom, has finally had his ban lifted and is headed to the United Kingdom.
His 15-year ban from the UK was lifted after five years and Burna Boy will make his first appearance in England tonight as he arrives at Heathrow airport aboard an Arik flight from Lagos at 6pm.In 2013, it was reported that while in the UK, back in 2010, BurnaBoy was arrested by the police for allegedly being part of a gang and stabbing someone to death. He was tried as a minor and sent to jail.

After 11 months, he was released and given two months parole plus community service on the grounds of being of ‘good behaviour’. But Burna was said to have disobeyed authorities and traveled back to Nigeria, where he signed a record deal with Aristocrat Records.
He later traveled back to the UK but was arrested at the airport, deported to Nigeria and barred from the UK for 15 years.
In 2015, BurnaBoy hinted via a tweet that his ban would be lifted and hbais mum, Bose Ogulu, who led his management in November, 2015 told the public that Burnaboy would be going to the UK in the middle of 2016.

In her words, ‘I’m not saying anything about any ban, what I’m saying is that he’s doing a tour of UK in the second half of next year; talking about a ban is not my brief. What we do know is that BurnaBoy is doing a UK tour next year. This will be his first concert in UK as BurnaBoy.”
