President Muhammadu Buhari was on Monday, May 23, spotted with the Ogun state governor, Ibikunle Amosun, instead of a proposed trip to Lagos state.
Pictures obtained by Sahara Reporters showed that President Buhari, said to be suffering from ear infections, was all smiles as the Ogun state governor visited.
His planned trip was on Sunday, May 22, canceled over reports that the president had ‘schedule difficulties’ and would no longer attend the already planned visit to Lagos state, the first by a sitting president in 15 years.
Instead, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo stormed Lagos and commissioned an emergency rescue unit in the state.
There have also been suggestions that President Buhari may have canceled his proposed visit because he was expecting the Ogun state governor.
As at the time of compiling this report, our correspondent could not ascertain the real reason for the governor’s visit to the presidential villa.
