Real Madrid have won the UEFA Champions League for a record eleventh time. Los Blancos fought so hard to edge Atletico Madrid 5 – 3 on penalties as the epic final ended 1 – 1 after 120minutes.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winner, after Juanfran’s spot kick crashed unto the wood-work to give Zinedine Zidane’s men an advantage in the penalty shootout.
It was a battle of the titans as the game lived up to expectation as it had all ‘ingredients’ of what a final should be.
