Chairmanship hopeful and the candidate of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC ), Hon. Bitrus Tanko Kura has said that he would establish a land system in the area and create more job opportunities for the people if elected.
According
to Kura, AMAC's Geographical Information And Verification System
(AGIVS), if created, will increase revenue generation.
Kura
told Pulse that if elected, his tenure will witness new partnership and
collaboration that will further increase revenue coming into the
coffers of AMAC which would help the council to provide more
infrastructure and services to the residents especially in the rural
areas.
Also, Kura said his attention would be
given to capacity building and economic development to enhance the
establishment of AMAC corporative society, AMAC Microfinance Bank, AMAC
Mortgage Bank and AMAC Investment and Property Development Company.
"AMAC
under my watch will partner with communities and organizations to fight
diseases, poverty and security challenges and achieve quality and
consistency in community development," Kura said.
The Abuja Area Councils election is scheduled for March 19th, 2016.
