– Nigeria crash out of CHAN 2016 after defeat to Guinea
– Nigerians slams Sunday Oliseh over team’s early exit
– Oliseh fails first real test
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have crashed out of the 2016 African Nations Championship in Rwanda after a 1-0 defeat to the Syli Nationale of Guinea today, January 26, in the last round of matches in Group C.
This comes against high hopes from Nigerians back home after a very
comfortable two weeks camping in South Africa ahead of the tournament.
Nigeria perfected strategies for the three-week championship at the
High Performance Centre in Pretoria, South Africa, where they spent two
weeks.
The Super Eagles were placed as the tournament favourites being the
top–ranked team from the last competition following defending Champions
Libya and Ghana inability to make it to the competition. The team
finished 3rd in the last edition
However, this was Coach Sunday Oliseh first full tournament in charge
of the national team since his appointment in July 2015 and as
expected, the early exit by the Super Eagles has triggered the reactions
of Nigerian on popular social media platform Twitter.
