“We shot [The Revenant] in Calgary, and weather
conditions were unprecedented — fluctuations from hot to cold,” he said.
“The locals had told us they had never had a weather experience like

DiCaprio earned an Oscar nomination for his turn as Hugh Glass in this year’s hit The Revenant, and took home his first-ever SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role on Saturday.
His Titanic and Revolutionary Road costar Kate Winslet couldn’t help gushing about his success while on the red carpet.
“I was shocked!” she said of winning the Golden Globe for her supporting role in Steve Jobs
earlier this year. “To be honest with you, [it was] because I’ve been
so focused on Leo and him winning everything and being so excited for
him.”
