John Boyega is finally in Nigeria.
Yesterday, the Star Wars actor shared a clip, informing his fans of the development.
“Nigeria love,” he wrote on his social media, adding, “Day well spent in Ibadan and Abeokuta.”
The story is fast gaining reactions from Nigerian fans, many of whom are already inviting him to their locations, including media houses like Ndani TV.
Boyega has never failed to talk about his Nigerian heritage. Weeks after the trailer of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was released, the award winning actor was criticised for his role as a Black stormtrooper, and in his interview with the New York Times, Boyega addressed his critics.

“I just don’t get it,” he said. “You guys got every single alien in this movie imaginable to man. With tentacles, five eyes. Aliens that, if they existed, we’d definitely have an issue…Yet what you want to do is fixate on another human being’s color. You need to go back to school and unlearn what you have learned.
“I am grounded in who I am, and I am a confident Black man,” Boyega continued. “A confident, Nigerian, Black, chocolate man…To get into a serious dialogue with people who judge a person based on the melanin in their skin? They’re stupid, and I’m not going to lose sleep over people.”
Now, Boyega is home and here’s what his fans are saying:
