As Nigeria continues to unravel the
mystery surrounding the fatal accident that led to the death of Minister
of State for Labour, James Ocholi, SAN, his wife, Blessing, and son,
Joshua, a survival of the accident told THISDAY on Monday in Abuja that
contrary to speculations making the rounds, the accident was as a result
of the burst rear tyre of the SUV.
The source who pleaded for anonymity
informed THISDAY: “We were coming from Kaduna; we left Kaduna around
some minutes to 3.00pm. The minister had attended a church programme in
Barnawa area of Kaduna and we were on our way back to Abuja.
“People have been saying it might be political, it might be speeding or it might be spiritual. What I know is that the driver was not speeding; the tyre just burst and the car started to tumble.”
